By James L Gordon

ROCKY FOUNDATIONS was launched to an audience of 40 at the Mumford Theatre in Cambridge on Thursday 28th May from 7 to 9 pm.  The author performed a one-man show featuring dramatised readings from the novel alternating with songs referred to in its pages.
A 7 minute excerpt from the performance can be seen on www.myspace.com/jamesgordon33 .  There was even a call for an encore! Ten copies of the book were sold, 8 bottles of wine were consumed, and a photo was taken of the band CMU, the Crabapple of the book, of whom all but one of the members were (unexpectedly) present.  None of them complained of their portrayal in the book, but that will no doubt come later…
The success of the evening has prompted the author to consider doing two or more performances in London, probably starting with Greenwich and Camden later in the summer.
